How to Install IPTV Apps on Windows PC

Install one free Windows player: use IPTV Smarters Pro with Xtream Codes API for an IPTV-focused interface, or use VLC Media Player with a private M3U playlist URL for basic playback.

You only need one player.

IPTV Smarters Pro is the recommended free IPTV app and uses Xtream Codes API. VLC Media Player is an alternative free player for basic playback with a private M3U URL. Both apps are third-party applications.

Confirm the filename before continuing. Do not download a modified installer from an unknown website, and do not disable Windows security or Windows Firewall permanently.

IPTVSMARTERZ does not own, operate, or develop IPTV Smarters Pro or VLC Media Player.

Both are third-party media player applications. They do not include channels, movies, series, IPTV credentials, or IPTV subscriptions.

This guide only helps IPTVSMARTERZ customers install a compatible player and connect their IPTVSMARTERZ subscription.

Available options:

  • IPTV Smarters Pro: Recommended free IPTV app
  • VLC Media Player: Alternative free player using M3U URL

You only need one player.

Option 1: Install IPTV Smarters Pro

Recommended Free App

IPTV Smarters Pro provides IPTV-specific features such as:

  • Live TV categories
  • Movies and series
  • TV Guide and EPG
  • Favorites
  • Xtream Codes API login

Part 1: Download IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Open a web browser on the Windows PC.
  2. Download the Windows installer:
    https://www.iptvsmarters.com/IPTVSmartersProSetup-1.1.2.exe
    https://www.iptvsmarters.com/IPTVSmartersProSetup-1.1.2.exe
  3. Wait for the download to finish.
  4. Open:
    File Explorer → Downloads
  5. Find:
    IPTVSmartersProSetup-1.1.2.exe
  6. Double-click the installer.
  7. If Windows asks for permission, select:
    Yes
Only download the installer from the source provided in this guide.

Part 2: Install IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Follow the installation wizard.
  2. Accept the required installation terms.
  3. Keep the default installation location unless a different folder is needed.
  4. Click:
    Install
  5. Wait for installation to finish.
  6. Click:
    Finish
  7. Open IPTV Smarters Pro from the desktop shortcut or Windows Start menu.

Part 3: Select Login Method

  1. Open IPTV Smarters Pro.
  2. Accept app terms or privacy notice when requested.
  3. Select:
    LOGIN WITH XTREAM CODES API
Do not choose M3U URL when using normal IPTVSMARTERZ username and password credentials.

Part 4: Add IPTVSMARTERZ Subscription

Enter:

Any Name:
IPTVSMARTERZ
Username:
[YOUR IPTV USERNAME]
Password:
[YOUR IPTV PASSWORD]
Server URL:
[YOUR IPTVSMARTERZ SERVER URL]
IPTVSMARTERZ

Check every character carefully.

The username, password, and server URL must exactly match credentials supplied by IPTVSMARTERZ.

Click Add User.

Wait for successful login and content download:

  • Live TV channels
  • Movies
  • Series
  • TV Guide and EPG

Do not close the app during first loading.

Option 2: Install VLC Media Player

Alternative Free Player

VLC Media Player can play IPTV using an M3U playlist URL.

VLC provides basic playback. It does not provide the same IPTV-focused interface, categories, EPG experience, or content organization as IPTV Smarters Pro.

Use VLC when IPTV Smarters Pro cannot be installed or simple playlist playback is preferred.

Part 1: Install VLC Media Player

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Visit:
    https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
    https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  3. Click:
    Download VLC
  4. Wait for installer download.
  5. Open installer.
  6. If Windows asks for permission, select:
    Yes
  7. Follow installation wizard.
  8. Click:
    Install
  9. Wait for installation.
  10. Open VLC Media Player.

Part 2: Request M3U Playlist URL

VLC requires an M3U playlist URL.

Contact IPTVSMARTERZ support if M3U URL was not included with credentials.

M3U placeholder:

[YOUR IPTVSMARTERZ M3U URL]
Do not publicly share the M3U URL. It contains private subscription credentials.

Part 3: Open IPTV Playlist in VLC

  1. Open VLC Media Player.
  2. Select:
    Media
  3. Select:
    Open Network Stream
  4. Or press:
    Ctrl + N
  5. Paste IPTVSMARTERZ M3U URL into network URL field.
  6. Click:
    Play
  7. Wait for stream to load.
Media → Open Network Stream

Part 4: Open Channel List

  1. Select:
    View
  2. Select:
    Playlist
  3. Or press:
    Ctrl + L
  4. Browse channels.
  5. Double-click a channel to play it.
View → Playlist

VLC channel organization may be more basic than IPTV Smarters Pro.

After Installation

IPTV Smarters Pro should provide:

  • Live TV
  • Movies
  • Series
  • TV Guide
  • Favorites

VLC mainly provides channel playback through M3U playlist.

Allow enough time for first playlist and EPG download.

Restart App and Windows PC

If playlist or content does not appear:

  1. Close IPTV app completely.
  2. Restart Windows:
    Start → Power → Restart
  3. Wait for PC restart.
  4. Reopen IPTV app.
  5. Allow playlist to reload.

Basic Troubleshooting

IPTV Smarters Pro Installer Does Not Open

  • Confirm download completed.
  • Open installer from Downloads.
  • Right-click installer.
  • Select Run as administrator.
  • Confirm Windows is updated.
  • Restart PC and try again.

Do not download a modified installer from unknown websites.

Windows Displays Security Warning

  1. Confirm installer came from link in this guide.
  2. Review filename.
  3. Continue only when file matches expected installer.
  4. Contact IPTVSMARTERZ support when uncertain.

Do not disable Windows security permanently.

IPTV Smarters Pro Login Error

Check username, password, server URL, letter case, correct http:// or https:// prefix, and extra spaces.

Do not manually change IPTVSMARTERZ credentials.

No Channels Appear

  1. Confirm login completed.
  2. Wait for playlist load.
  3. Close and reopen app.
  4. Restart Windows PC.
  5. Confirm subscription is active.
  6. Contact IPTVSMARTERZ support if content stays empty.

VLC M3U Playlist Does Not Open

Check complete M3U URL, no spaces, correct http:// or https:// prefix, internet connection, and active subscription.

Request a new M3U URL from IPTVSMARTERZ support when needed.

Buffering or Freezing

  • Close unused programs.
  • Restart PC.
  • Restart router.
  • Use Ethernet when available.
  • Confirm stable internet.
  • Pause downloads and Windows updates while streaming.
  • Test another channel.

Do not use VPN unless IPTVSMARTERZ support specifically asks you to use one.

App Is Blocked by Windows Firewall

  1. Open Windows search.
  2. Search:
    Allow an app through Windows Firewall
  3. Open result.
  4. Select:
    Change Settings
  5. Find IPTV Smarters Pro or VLC.
  6. Allow app on private network.
  7. Save changes.

Do not disable Windows Firewall completely.

Sound but No Picture

  • Close and reopen stream.
  • Test another channel.
  • Restart app.
  • Update graphics driver.
  • Update IPTV app or VLC.
  • In VLC, test another hardware-decoding setting.
